Brennen Swanson, comin' to the team…

If you thought The House snowboard team was already jam packed with crazy awesome riders that can kill it, your imagination just got a little bit sweeter.  Brennen Swanson, a dude with mad skill, is coming on board with an impressive resume.

In August he was able to take home the gold at the Burton New Zealand Open in the quarterpipe and in 2008 Brennen was on the podium at every stop in the Revolution Tour.

A native of Stillwater, MN and riding away his childhood at Afton Alps Brennen has been a long time neighbor of The House.  Mat Gustafson (Guf), The House’s team manager and head coach at Windells Academy, was the first to spot Brennen when he coached the youngster on the G-team.
Recently I was able to catch up with Brennen and ask him the most important questions:

  • Q: What are you riding this season? A: The Ride 155 DH and DH2
  • Q: What boot are you rockin? A: Ride FUL
  • Q: What bindings are keeping you tight to your board? A: Ride Contraband

This set up, according to Brennen, is the “BEST SET UP EVER!!!”  And I don’t blame him.  Those Contrabands are sick as ever and I’m sure you already caught Dave’s write up about the DH 2 in an earlier post. Obviously sponsored by Ride, Brennen has also stacked his deck with the likes of Smith Optics, Dakine, Bern Helmets, Kicker Audio, TedShred’s Candles, Neff, ISTC and now The House Boardshop.

Welcome to the team bro!  We are all looking forward to you tearin it up this season.  And if you’re curious about his skills take a look at this clip.
