Baldface – Red Bull Supernatural

Baldface Resort

Located outside of Nelson, B.C. in the West Kootenays Mountain Range, Baldface has over 32,00 acres of backcountry bliss, with over 500 inches of annual snow fall. Always a favorite among pro shreders, this venue is more than perfect for a Red Bull and Travis Rice endorsed comp.

Red Bull’s Supernatural – Feb 3rd-9th

The advancement of the massively popular Quiksilvers Natural Selection, Red Bull Supernatural is going to be a crazy one-day event with some of the best snowboarders in world. With over a 100 mountain-bike like jumps and features 60-feet up in the trees this contest will be just as much about picking the right line as it about throwing the right trick. The competitor have already arrive at Balface and will be sequestered at the lodge awaiting judges and organizers to select the perfect day to start the event. Travis Rice wanted to make someting that combated the “lame Olympics”  and so Red Bulls Supernaturals was born. The event is all about riding with your friends and pushing the limits… something that other contests seem to be lacking these days. Hop on the hype train…we are.

Worthy: Todcast "The Movie"

You may have seen or heard of the Toddcast series (in which snowboard legend/funny guy Todd Richards entertains podcast viewers on a semi regular basis), but what you may not have heard of yet is that Mr. Richards has teamed up with Quiksilver and VBStv to bring you “Toddcast The Movie”.

“It’s not really about banger tricks. It’s what happens in between getting banger tricks.”- Todd

Dobre Hombres

Learn from ye elders.

This movie has a rockstar lineup of good dudes. Travis Rice, Scotty Lago, Kyle Clancy, and Mark Carter just to name a few.

Sleeper hit of the year possibly?

There's a reason why Travis Rice is the man among men in snowboarding

Travis Rice just won King of the Hill in Valdez, AK. You can read the full story at either ESPN or TransWorld if you would like, but all you really need to see are his runs that set him on top. How much fun would it be to be that sick?

ASYMBOL Gallery is Live!!

The Asymbol gallery is finally up and running. Be sure to check it out. Here you can order prints from some of the most respected and greatest photographers and artists to embrace the action sports.  The prints will be offered in limited addition runs and will change up often. They are using the highest quality paper and printing methods found today, and are offering the prints in multiple sizes to fit everyone’s budget. Be sure to check out the amazing perspectives viewer with some well known characters. Here’s a statement from their site on how the gallery became -

“In the universe that is professional snowboarding, Travis Rice is one of the brightest shining stars. This company was born out of Travis’ inability to understand why it is that so many of the people who have taken the photos and painted the pictures that have inspired all of us over the years are not living the bling-bling, MTV Cribs good life, with their pieces occupying choice wall spaces in the domiciles of fine-art and outdoor-living appreciators worldwide. His own frustrated search to find such images to adorn the interior of his personal home led him to the conclusion that some sort of bridge needed to be built to connect the highly respected image makers in our world with the people who want to own their work, but have never had a way to do so before. Asymbol is that bridge.”

Jeremy Jones Takes it to new Levels…. Again

It’s so impressive how snowboarding gets brought to a new amazing level every year. Athletes are double corking their brains out all over the place, off hits that would make the average person crap their pants a little just looking at it, and street rails are at a place where people watching just have to say, “how would you ever think you could actually hit that and live?” Next thing you know we’re going to be seeing 2160′s.

So how, you might ask, did Jeremy Jones manage to up the anti yet again? Well, aside from showing us how to ride one footed with a swively binding, he is now bringing us Deeper. This video is a two year project in partnership with Teton Gravity Research, and will be show casing outstanding big mountain riders such as Jonaven Moore, Travis Rice and Xavier De Le Rue. What is going to make this video so epic is they left behind the limitations of  sleds and hellis and they will be hiking everything they want to hit, cameramen included. They have already camped out in Alaska for 27 days and I can’t wait to see what they will have coming next. Keep up on the full story at Teton Gravity Research.
