Drink Water put on what might be the best snowboard event of the summer, the 1st annual Rat Race. By the looks of the Timberline course everyone had a blast. Salomon/Bonfire Team Manager Java Hernandez and Nike Snow Team Manager Booby Meeks both walked away with Rat Trap Trophies.
Still to come is Bonfire’s Pipe-To-Pipe contest; its an event that hosts both snowboarding and skateboarding contests in one!
The Fun Crew Tour, formerly known as a USASA sanctioned event series called the Frozen Chosen, held their 3rd stop at Mt. Itasca in Coleraine, MN. This wonder, yet small, resorts his light years away from modern civilization but has everything any jib kid could dream of. Rail Jam this Friday, January 13th at Trollhaugen, be there or be square. Registrations starts at 6pm and the comp starts at 7pm. After the Rail Jam head up to the bar (if your 21 or older) and listen to some tasty jams provided by Saving Starz.

Seek Joy Productions gave out $1,000 to the top rider at Wild Mountain’s annual rail jam on Saturday, October 1st. You’d think that everyone would be too focused on the cash to be giving high fives and cheering each other on, but there is something different about the Midwest mentality and everyone was stoked.
Notable junior riders in the jam were Benny Milam, Garrett McKenzie, and Brandon Kirkland. All three of those groms are going to be the next kids out of the Midwest, guaranteed. Jon Lord, Matt Angel, Hunter Murphy, DC’s Justin Fronius, Zion’s Ryan Paul, Mitch Kirby, and Mason Crawford all murdered the creative set up. After a double overtime final the judges picked Tony Young to take home the well deserved grand prize.
Despite riders getting broken off left and right everyone kept putting their best foot forward. Seek Joy Productions and Wild Mountain put on a great show; if you didn’t make it, you missed out. Hopefully we will see you next year!
You’re probably thinking what the heck is this… Well the Red Bull Mississippi Grind is a floating barge going down the Mississippi River. The barge itself is 193 feet long with a custom skate park built right on top of it.
The barge will be floating down the Mississippi River for the next month, with multiple stop a long the river. At each stop there will be a skate comp. The top winners of each stop will receive “Ticket to Ride”. The “Ticket to Ride” will land you a spot at the end of the journey down in New Orleans, LA. The winner of the Red Bull Mississippi Grind will win $3,000 cash prize.
This past weekend The Red Bull Mississippi Grind kicked off their journey in St Paul, MN. The winners of the St Paul stop were Dan Coe and Kirian Stone. Congrats Guys! This weekend September 9th and 10th the barge will be in Davenport, IA. Other stops will be St. Louis, MO Sept 17th -18th and the final stop is in New Orleans, LA Oct 9th -11th. The House Boardshop and Signal Snowboards have joined forces to offer our fans and customers an exclusive chance to come up with your own “Every Third Thursday” custom snowboard build idea.
The Signal Snowboards crew have been coming up with insanely awesome ideas for custom built snowboards and making video’s documenting the build. You can see some of the past builds, like the Lego snowboard, the Boombox snowboard, etc on the Signal Snowboards blog or below.
For the first time ever The House and Signal are opening up idea submissions for ETT to the public. Enter by posting your ideas, drawing, schematics, etc over on the Signal Snowboards facebook fan page wall. Enter as many times as you like. One winner will be chosen on February 28th and Signal will use their idea on an upcoming episode of ETT.
The winner will also receive a Signal Snowboard of their choice!
