Think Thank – The Drought

Think Thank Almanac

Screen shot 2015-01-08 at 11.19.08 AMThe Think Thank video crew has been chasing winter since the temperatures dropped low enough to snow.  Packed into a white cargo vans the crew drove from Utah to the East Coast and then, as of recently, landed in Minnesota.  With more than enough heavy hitters to stack clips,  Ryan Paul lead the charge through the street and in the parks – here’s what when down.

Animals Snowboarding

Apparently this moose really likes Steamboats Springs‘ halfpipe.  Unfortunately the moose didn’t purchase a lift ticket and was escorted off the premises by ski patrol.

Strange Brew | Strangers Welcome EP. 4

EP. 4 | Basic Boreal

To be fair, there’s nothing basic about Boreal.  Boreal sits west of Truckee on what’s know to most as the Donner Pass area.  The geographical area is anything but basic, learn from the short history lesson below:

The Donner Party was a group of American pioneer migrants who set out for California in a wagon train. Delayed by a series of mishaps, they spent the winter of 1846–47 snowbound in the Sierra Nevadas. Some of the migrants resorted to cannibalism to survive, eating those who had succumbed to starvation and sickness.

Historians have described the episode as one of the most spectacular tragedies in Californian history and in the record of western migration…and this is why Strange Brew has been know to kill it.
