The proof is in the bread-pudding: Brennen in his Smith Grocery Store bakers uniform.

In Brennen’s own words, “I thought it would be fun to bake and stuff.”

met my hero...no big deal!

High Cascade session 3 was a great one up at Mt. Hood! Not all the girls made it but Lisa Wiik and Sarka Pancochova ended up filling in and we all had a blast! Not only did we get to learn new tricks and shred under the sun, we went white water rafting, skated the skateparks, had water fights with campers, jumped into foam pits and much more. Thanks to everyone at HCSC for having us!

Kaitlyn Farrington takes second in halfpipe at U.S. Burton Open

The girl can’t be stopped. Kaitlyn is having an outrageous year. Fresh off her first place win from the European X Games Kaitlyn came back to The States to yet again top the list and claim her spot on the podium taking second in the U.S. Burton Open. One prestigious contest after another Kaitlyn is simply dominating. That’s so impressive… keep it rollin Kaitlyn!

Kaitlyn Farrington Grabs the Euro X Games Superpipe Gold

xgold

The very first X Games women’s Superpipe medal to ever be presented outside of the U.S. goes to The House team rider Kaitlyn Farrington! And the games continue to be a big ball of firsts as this is Kaitlyn’s first X Games medal. She stomped her last run in the finals which consisted of a bs 540, straight air, a monster bs 900, inverted fs 720 and a cab 540 to finish. Kaitlyn laid it down and was able to top a list of some pretty impressive riders. In the top 6, 4 of the women are Olympians and one, Torah Bright, is the Olympic gold medalist. Great job Kaitlyn! That’s quite an accomplishment, and you’ve earned it.

Women’s SuperPipe finals results:
1. Kaitlyn Farrington, 97.00
2. Torah Bright, 95.00
3. Sophie Rodriguez, 87.00
4. Mercedes Nicoll, 82.33
5. Ellery Hollingsworth, 79.00
6. Kjersti Oestgaard Buass, 78.66

Gabi and Bev got to go snowboarding… in Hawaii

TransWorld SNOWboarding had a sick article about The House team riders Bev Vuilleumier and Gabi Viteri along with Bryn Valaika and Olympian Elena Hight who all recently took a trip to Hawaii. Who knew you could shred in a tropical paradise. Swing over and check out the story.

kaitpodium

Kaitlyn Farrington has been owning the Dew Tour this season and when she took first in the halfpipe at the last stop in West Dover, Vermont she also earned herself the Dew Cup. At the very first Dew stop in Breckenridge Kaitlyn landed in 6th place and at the Snowbasin stop she climbed the ranks to 2nd. Now she has topped the list and proved to be the best over all. Congratulations Kaitlyn!

Brennen Swanson gets Second in Dew Tour Halfpipe

westdover

The Dew Tour for 09/10 is said and done, but the last stop in West Dover, Vermont was quite the spectacle. The House team rider, Brennen Swanson, threw all his cards in as he put down a run that would land him a second place on the podium. Not only was Brennen the only one that threw double corks at West Dover he threw two in his run that were clean as they could be. Awesome job Brennen, Congratulations!

Brennen Swanson is in the news

Our boy Brennen sent us a little news just to let us know what he is up to, and he is livin the dream. He was over in South Dakota where he did a little spot on the Morning Show about him going to put on a show at FunSki, which raises money for abused women and children. After that he was a guest on a few different radio stations for their morning shows. He held a press conference at Great Bear Resort and he has been signing autographs, making several other appearances, taking pictures and doing interviews all over the place. Brennen says its been an amazing experience and he is really stoked about this exposure for himself and his sponsors. It’s always good to hear from you Brennen, good luck at the last Dew Tour stop!

The House Crew Stomped the Dew Tour

Kaitlyn2

Kaitlyn Farrington and Brennen Swanson killed it at the Snow Basin Dew Tour stop in Halfpipe. Kaitlyn rode her way onto the podium taking 2nd and Brennen topped the list taking home 5th. It gets even more impressive when you look at the list of heavy hitters they had to beat out to get to the top. Congrats Brennen and Kaitlyn, that’s so sick! Read More

The House Team Rider Updates

The season is well under way and our riders that are competing in all these snowboard contests are doing rather well. The Dew Tour made its first stop in Breckenridge where Bev Vuileumier took 8th in the slopestlye and Kaitlyn Farrington took 6th in the halfpipe. At the Grand Prix in Mammoth Kaitlyn snagged 5th in the Progression Session, and at the Copper Progression Session Gabi Viteri took home 3rd.

Brennen Swanson is barking with the big dogs as he is throwing down double corks in his halfpipe runs and is pulling some attention from Snowboarder Magazine for his style:

On the other side of snowboarding Madeline Wieckne, an Olympic hopeful for Parallel Giant Slalom, is holding her own. She is in the top 5 for U.S. PGS women, and the top 50 PGS women in the world.

Results of Breckenridge Dew Tour

Breckenridge Dew Tour 2009 is all over. They had perfect weather for the pipe finals and they would have had great conditions for the slopestyle but it was held later in the afternoon and the light wasn’t really that great. If you want to see the full results of the qualifiers and what not, you can check it out here. Probably the biggest surprise of the comp. was 16 year old Tyler Flanagan taking the cake in slopestyle and beating out heavy hitter riders that have been his inspiration to ride.

Gabi got 3rd

Gabi
It may come as a big shocker to some people but the halfpipe was not the only competition that went down at the Copper Mountain Grand Prix stop. Paul Mitchell got its hand in there to sponsor the Progression Session, which had a pretty sick set up for a little slope style action. The run started off with a giant 15 foot high butter box that launched off to a huge step down and that led into another butter box and rail at the bottom of the run. From what I’ve seen it looked like this set up made for some pretty sick moves. And The House’s very own Gabi Viteri made us proud as she snagged 3rd! Congrats Gabi! Keep doin your thang… Read More

Somebody's double corking his butt off!

We just got word that Brennen Swanson, who joined The House’s snowboard team not to long ago, is now officially throwing down some mad double cork 10′s. This kid is crazy and keeps progressing in leaps and bounds. Atta boy Brennen! Congrats on being insanely talented. It’s definitely a good idea to keep and eye out for Brennen, I have a feeling we’re gonna see a lot more from him.

Brennen told us, “Here’s my first ever landed double cork front 10 in the pipe… I landed 3 in a row right after!”
