Nine Knights | Sven Thorgren

Suzuki Nine Knights is no joke. The setup is immaculate, creative and gigantic, and when you unleash some of the world’s best jumpers on it you receive a showcase seen in few other places in the world. This year Sven Thorgren took the top spot among riders like Halldór Helgason, Sage Kotsenburg, and Kevin Backström. Judging by the footage above, he earned every bit of it. By the way, we’re pretty sure Peetu Piiroinen’s hip air is among the highest of all time. Borderline insanity.

Nine Knights | Big Air Ski & Snowboard

Every year, the Suzuki Nine Knights week long super session wraps up with an a action packed Big Air contest day. It is no usual competition, as it is judged by the pros themselves, in a jam session format. The Mottolino Fun Mountain in Livingo saw the snowboarders join the event for the first time, making for an ever bigger show for the crowds.

Superpark 19 by Ryan Paul

Superpark 19 was a blast!  I’ve been to four Superparks now and I have to say this one was the best.  The vibe of a smaller mountain resort put it all together for me.  On the first day I checked in at the Foggy Goggle bar and right outside that bar were The Streets, Seven Springs’ urban snowboarding playground.  I checked in and imediately hiked up to take my first run on some rails.  Jesse Paul and the rest of the Impaler crew showed up and it was all good times from there.  Tons of sessions in The Streets and all over SuperPark.

The Interior Plain Project | Berzerker Collection Short

The Interior Plain Project‘s new Berserker Collection aesthetics are inspired be the powerful illustration styles of skateboard/comic/manga graphics we’ve grown up with. While the short draws some style from the original team videos of the late 90’s and early 2000’s where teams, camaraderie, fun park features, and sessions often found their way into full length features.

Think Thank | Arctic Air Mass

A few weeks back it was colder than a polar bear’s toenails out there. The Think Thank Methods of Prediction crew was stuck in the midwest amidst a mass of arctic air (called an “Arctic Air Mass”, weirdly enough).  The only way they could stay warm was to snowboard.  It was a snowboard or die situation. Suffice it to say, they survived.  Here is the footage.

Starring: Ryan Paul, Desiree Melencon, Ted Borland, Mitch Richmond, Frederik Perry, Sammy Spiteri, Nial Romanek and the man, the myth, the legend Paul Heran.
