Suzuki Nine Knights is no joke. The setup is immaculate, creative and gigantic, and when you unleash some of the world’s best jumpers on it you receive a showcase seen in few other places in the world. This year Sven Thorgren took the top spot among riders like Halldór Helgason, Sage Kotsenburg, and Kevin Backström. Judging by the footage above, he earned every bit of it. By the way, we’re pretty sure Peetu Piiroinen’s hip air is among the highest of all time. Borderline insanity.

Every year, the Suzuki Nine Knights week long super session wraps up with an a action packed Big Air contest day. It is no usual competition, as it is judged by the pros themselves, in a jam session format. The Mottolino Fun Mountain in Livingo saw the snowboarders join the event for the first time, making for an ever bigger show for the crowds.

A few weeks back it was colder than a polar bear’s toenails out there. The Think Thank Methods of Prediction crew was stuck in the midwest amidst a mass of arctic air (called an “Arctic Air Mass”, weirdly enough). The only way they could stay warm was to snowboard. It was a snowboard or die situation. Suffice it to say, they survived. Here is the footage.
