House Riders Andy Parry and Garrett Russell, along with LINE Traveling Circus members Will Wesson and Shane McFalls, fled the western drought and headed to snowy Minnesnowta a few weeks ago to film for LINE Traveling Circus. Episode 7.3 “That’s Different” includes the remarkably weird and funky skiing of LTC and features MN signatures like hotdish, the Mall of America, and rails, rails, rails. I had the opportunity to chauffeur the crew around to Wild Mountain, Trollhaugen, and any/everywhere in the Twin Cities area. They could be the strangest group of skiers I have ever been around and I loved every moment…except for all the discussions about cats. There were a lot.
The Garrett Russell Experience: Another Time, Another Place is an original story and video series developed by The House and has premiered on Teton Gravity Reasearch’s Tetongravity.com. The GRE will explore the skiing, style, and artistic virtue of House Rider Garrett “GFunk” Russell. Captured in San Carlos de Bariloche, episode 1 explores the vision of one of skiing’s true originals. Another Time, Another Place will follow G-Funk in 4 different episodes featuring the terrain of the Argentine Andes, forests of Japan, and the expansive American canvas.

LINE’s Traveling Circus starts it’s unparalleled 7th season off with a bang in Part 2 of “Everybody Loves Ramen.” The highly anticipated conclusion of “Everybody Loves Ramen Part 1″ solidifies Traveling Circus as the world’s longest freestyle skiing web series. The crew’s second trip to Japan sees them enjoy the glow stick nightlife of an Anime Party, the tasty treats and strange oddities of local fish markets, restaurants, and vending machines, numerous ski resorts, and tons of funky skiing. GFunk and the TC Crew send their soulful and inventive style into the creative stratosphere. Watch the adventure and prepare yourself to get weird!
Put this on a stick! House riders just screwin’ around for the awe-struck fans at the great MN get together. Just some leftover video from this summer, but should keep you stoked through winter. Even during warm ups these boys are better than most! Keep practicing young folks!
The House team and friends have always been huge fans of Trollhaugen, and this is cutting room floor footage from one of the resort shoots that we had last season – it’s always great finding lost footage. We’ll be back for more this season. Enjoy.
