Getting the Yawgoons out of the valley might be easier than expected. Teaming up with Capita‘s Scotty Stevens and Johnny O’Connor at Copper Mountain for some warm spring laps is always a good idea. Take a peek, get inspired, and wait until next season to try it.

The Interior Plain Project is excited to Welcome Erik and Jon to the squad. They bring style shaped on the slopes of the Midwest and transplanted to the terrain of Mt. Hood and Wasatch Mountains. Unquietly similar and different, these brothers each offer their own hard-charging style and presence on snow as well as off.
Just as the temperature started cooling from snowboarding having a few days off from hot new tricks popping up on the internet, this happens. This is a Cab 1440° Triple Cork done by Yiwei Zhang. Technically it should be called a Triple Haakon because it’s a Cab Cripper A.K.A. a Haaken Flip with a 1440° rotation. Burton Snowboard‘s Yiwei Zhang has now been added to a very small list of riders who can Triple Cork, and he is the first rider to do it in the halfpipe.
Yiwei Zhang is familiar with outstanding performances in the pipe; he finished in 6th place at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi representing the Chinese national team and wrapped up a 2nd place finish at the 2013 Arctic Challenge. It’s no wonder why he has worked so hard to land the triple – Zhang is a pipe jock and wants to get paid. With the backing of Burton, Nike, Mini Cooper (seriously), and Oakley it looks like he’s on the right track.
If you want to see more insane tricks check out Max Parrot’s Cab Quad and Billy Morgan’s Quad Cork.
The last of Pat Fenelon’s I Ride Park City episodes has finally arrive. After banging out mashers all season this 10th episode highlights Sam Taxwood, Ben Bilodeau, Alex Sherman, Harrison Gordon, and Ozzy Henning.
This years Men Of Iron tour started with the Ashbury demo at Trollhaugen, moved on to Colorado for the ‘Bull Of The Woods’ event and then back east to Superpark 19 at 7-Springs. The 13 man crew consisted of Jake Moore, Hunter Murphy, Cole Linzmeyer, Cullen Bernklau, Pat Rafferty, Robby Frank, Jake Devries, Jasper Alford, Zak Peterson, Matt Aura, Matt Melo, Sam Duncan, and Sam Garneau. Big thanks to The House, The Interior Plain Project, Nightmare Snowboards, Ashbury Eyewear, and Nitro Snowboards for supporting this convoy.
The 2015 Ashbury demo was at Trollhaugen and it brought out a swarm of kids for Troll’s last day open. The rope shut off every 2 minutes but this allowed you to say whatsup to those people you may not see over the summer. The demo was more of a free-for-all event and we didn’t see much of the Ashbury team, but everyone was ok with just getting their laps before Troll closed it’s doors for the season. Here’s number 1 of the 3-part tour video, chaos at the demo and then off to high country…
